SC suspends tribunal's verdict to de-seat PML-N MNA
The Supreme Court suspended an election tribunal’s decision to de-seat Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA and conduct re-elections in the NA-154 (Lodhran-I) constituency. On 26 August, an election tribunal probing rigging allegations in NA-154 announced its verdict in favour of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Jahangir Tareen and ordered re-elections.
