| BJP & Congress clash over comment on Smriti Irani |
|
A day after BJP workers clashed with their Congress counterparts in Assam’s Guwahati district, the Congress has called for a State-wide agitation to protest what it perceives as a “ well planned attack ” on the party. The cause of the confrontation was a sexist remark made by the Congress legislator Nilamoni Sen Deka against senior BJP leader and Human and Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani.
