Mayawati's trusted security officer of 17 years joins BJP
In July 2012, when Padam Singh bid adieu to Mayawati after serving as her personal security officer (PSO) for nearly 17 years, he took with him a bunch of 'rakhis' the BSP chief had been tying on his wrist. "I always protected her like my sister,'' recalled Singh.
