| Senate elections, Nominations of 12 candidates approved |
|
On the first day of scrutiny of nomination papers for the Senate elections, papers for 12 candidates were approved while two were rejected. Meanwhile, objections were raised on the papers of the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz's (PML-N) Raja Zafar ul Haq, Pervez Rashid, Saud Majeed, Abdul Qayyum and Sajid Mir. The office of the Punjab Election Commission was the centre of a lot of hustle and bustle as the process for the scrutiny of nomination papers began.
